Because, I bought a PS3 for MGS4, not gonna lie. Now they are remaking arguably the best MGS of them all, but its going to the 3DS??? It's a tragedy is what it is. I love MGS3, and I am not playing it on a handheld thats for sure.

The whole situation with us getting some gay game with Raiden slicing people up, who cares? At least don't call it Metal Gear, because I feel like we suddenly got the shaft.

Now, Kojima, just as he's done with practically every Metal Gear game since MSX is like, 'LOL MAYBE I AM WORKING ON A SEQUEL, MAYBE NOT, MAYBE GO FUK YASELF '. WOULD it even be on PS3?

I agree about Rising. I don't want them to call it Metal Gear at all. Never ever been fussed on Raiden and this game seems way too different.

it's not really up to him, it's konami's decision. he's the director at his studio, not the CEO of konami. he's already said a million times he wants to make something new. another thing, why they need him to put MGS3 HD on PS3? the game is already made, they don't really need him.

3DS is going to be HUGE. it makes sense to put it on there, just like a lot of big companies are putting their high profile games on it

Yea I've really grown to hate this guy. Just tired of everything he does.
He's talked for years about doing something new, but I think if it came down to it, he actually wouldn't have anymore ideas.

But this article seems to suggest that his new game WILL be for the console. Just not MGS3. They aren't remaking it either, it will basically look the exact same as the PS2 version, just 3D.

News that he may be considering working on another is great news.

Its not so much he won't confirm another MGS game, I just don't understand this sudden shift of focus that MGS games are on all the other consoles except PS3. If he's making one, great- he might have a hell of a time explaining the plot -if- it follows MGS4, or maybe its a prequel to some of the other games, like the original MGS. If he isn't making one, thats fine too, I can live with that. What I don't like is that being a PS3 owner I'm seeing MGS titles hit other systems other than the one I have, when they said MGS would be a system exclusive.

For example, we get a game starring Raiden, PSP owners get a prequel to MGS3. Honestly, I don't understand that decision, seems like it should be reversed. I don't care about Raiden and I would be willing to bet 98% of Metal Gear fans would echo that sentiment. We love Snake and the Big Boss. It's the classic Vader style conflict.

PS3 owners may or may not (no guarantee, until confirmed) get MGS5, but 3DS owners will get MGS3.

I suppose I am moreso annoyed at how the PS3 won't play PS2 games. Just rerelease 2 and 3 on PS3 like God of War did. I'd happily rebuy. I just hate missing out on the fun, and don't want to have to purchase other consoles/handhelds. If you go back far enough, MGS was marketed as the 'Playstation' exclusive, and for whatever reason Konami suddenly threw that out the window, except for you Wii owners.

It just sucks to feel like its being mishandled in such a way, I've been playing these games since the first one on the NES so I am a bit attached to the characters and just want to see some justice done. Attached enough that I'd actually like to see a MGS game where Snake actually dies from old age, but thats just the treatment I feel the character deserves, and they were so close to doing that in MGS4 but didn't.

2 maybe 3 discs probably. And I am not buying a PS2. I got rid of it because they said PS3 was backwards compatible, then I bought one, and found out they were not backwards compatible anymore. It's fucking bullshit. All the other consoles right now are backwards compatible.

3 discs on the 360 would be fine. MGS1 had 2 on the PS1 and that wasn't really a bother. If they are releasing Rising on the 360 and PS3 then I don't see why they don't release 4 on the 360 anyway. Being a huge MGS fan, I would like to be up to date with the story and play the game myself. I've thought about it but I'm not buying a PS3 JUST for MGS4. I've heard that they ARE NOT releasing it on 360, then a few weeks back I read somewhere that they are releasing it around the same time as Rising, and have been working on it since 2007.

I'd understand Kevin's frustration if MGS5 was an exclusive for Xbox but a rehash of MGS3 on the 3DS is causing this tantrum? Damn dude but if I can buy a Gamecube for Resident Evil 1-3, what's the complaint for having a PS2 which you'll only have to bring out to play MGS3?
It's not that hard of a thing to do.

In it's defense, the 3DS looks like it has a pretty good line up of games, mostly remakes, but of good games.
