Parts pollute the lakeside
Incisions open up wide
Heat's rising from the dead wretch
As we migrate down the long stretchevery time that part comes up i always think of the dead marshes like in lotr

This is so addicting to listen to. I don't think any album that I listen to can or will beat it, except maybe their next one.

Definitely, just the general idea can spawn endless ideas. Works best when layin back in your bed listening to it while scanning the artwork. I've already pondered a couple ideas for a movie. (Casting, settings, plots, etc) Even have a sequel started.

i really think carver city has potential to be the sickest movie ever...

To the post about the IDR video album: Jess wasn't thrilled with the behind the scenes/interviews portion of it. They were really rushed through it and didn't get the chance to put as much effort into it as he would have liked. Thats all

yeah no shit, I can read.
The point was everything else I said, about the site only saying there was 400 odd questions answered, and none of the new ones were listed. That was the newest one that was listed at the time.
The problem has since been fixed.

the IDR album, just like a CD, is a classic. it can't and won't be beaten by any other albums/ videos CKY's produced or is about to produce. it's maybe just been 2 albums (and 2 music videos) since the marvellous IDR, but CKY, since then, hasn't really released a video that would at least stand up to the standard of the videos from IDR.
if i'm honest, i'm not at all excited about the general idea of making a video for a song and if a single does really need to have a video why not film the band playing the song and tell the RR guys to get stuffed. it'd turn out much better than what's been shoved in our face. in this case, and most cases, in fact, Deron's interpretations are too surreal to film and if you spend time on perfecting them, it's sure as hell gonna suck. we love IDR, because the production's budget, the entire crew was running out of time and the simplicity is overwhelming. that's what makes it so brilliant and loveable.
in my view, the video wasn't supposed to be cheesy and wasn't mocking the concept behind the lyrics. it's not sarcastic in any way.
and it's not Bam's fault. i think that nobody could film it the right way and that no one should even bother. it's awesome when the interpretation is an open subject, because of the amount of things our minds come up with.
it's nice to see the bitch toss on video again. the whole video would be bearable for me if it had that Carver City atmosphere - more blood (there's some on one of the spectators' shirt..), guts flying out and all that darkness and mysteriousnees of a horror film. in this case, it's seems that Mr. A #1 has just graduated from some uni from the Ivy League. him playing the main role is a totally dreadful decision. but that's Bam just loving to push in some of his colleagues from gay frat parties. you know that type with white shirts, ties, vest and tight trousers wearing them every fucking day for no obvious reason.
sorry, i could've made this much simpler. this video didn't need to be made. at all.
i'm waiting for the boardwalk body and rats video if they're really gonna happen. maybe on of those will change the patter CKY's fallen into (only with videos obviously).
the bottom pictures sum it up perfectly..

too many gimps on here think they are horror buffs or whatver just because mr deron miller likes horror. spare a thought for the other members of the band?
Jacob
May 24 2009, 03:09 PM
Hahahaha perfect
Ferguson
May 24 2009, 03:37 PM
i do agree with that, but at the same time, it is the theme of the album, you think the rest of the band was like "well horror is lame, but mr miller likes it, so it has to be the theme"...so i mean obviously the rest of the band think it's rad. as long as the music is perfect.....videos are just for fun.
i don't think it's the rest of the band we have to worry about, it's what the media allows and the general viewers of MTV we have to worry about, so yeah in the end, a horror/gory video just wouldn't work....so let's drop it and move on!

May 25 2009, 01:41 AM
I'll be buying at least one or two more this week.
Also, when you guys go to Best Buy, or wherever you go to get CD's, spread the albums on the rack so it's easier to catch other people's attention. It may seem petty but it's actually a good way to broaden what little advertisement Carver City gets in most stores. An employee might tighten them back up by the end of the day but it's some sort of support. Go nuts.

i forget too. but i heard the quality or somthing is way better

Lyric book is in Japanese and its missing three bonus tracks. Packaging may be a bit different as well.
As for the quality being better, I really doubt there'll be any noticeable difference. A few Japanese disks are pressed on some supposed "super cd" or something, but I really don't know enough. Maybe somebody else can clarify better.
