im quite glad the festival organisers think they can handle the main stage.

seems like with the trouble they were going through with the people at download not wanting them because they heard they were "assholes" didnt cause them to be put on a smaller stage earlier in the day.

I'm not going to Download, because if I'm honest, I'm not really a fan of the music.

I hope CKY fucking destroys it, though. Lots of potential Alliance members will be in the crowd. Also, I hope the event organizers see how much people love the band.

well being the first band of the festival it's understandable the crowd aren't that 'alive'

love how the crowd start chanting cky at the end, after they've been dead for the previous 3minutes, twats.

With the arrival of CKY and not a drop of rain in sight, it was on. They might not have been the most fashionable act on today's bill, but they still managed to draw a respectable early afternoon crowd, including a veritable army of die-hards chanting them onto the hallowed main stage. Oh, wait... that was on tape. Still, with a cocksure stage presence and a surfeit of belligerence, they succeeded in stomping and chugging their way through a solid, powerful set which may have been low on thrills, but which still got heads nodding back to the sound tower. Hardly the most explosive start to the festival, but at least the overly excitable inflatable penis enthusiast down the front seemed to enjoy it.
