We dont know anything about the new DLC for Skyrim other than it's named "Dawnguard" and there will be more info released at E3.
The Elder Scrolls online seems pretty cool... I'll get it if I have money. It's supposed to be set a million years before the events in Skyrim. This can either be really cool.... or just The Elder Scrolls trying to compete with World of Warcraft and a total cash-grab. I REALLY fucking hope it's not that. I hope Bethesda doesn't take the elder scrolls the same direction the call of duty games have been going. fucking yuck. |

If all that stuff is true, I don't think i'll be playing.
As soon as I read about the Hero Engine thing I lost interest. It's just gunna be a non-skill based combat (where you just mash the 1-9 numbers to perform moves). No matter how quick your reactions are, you're only as good as the amount of game hours you've put into this game to get that slightly better sword they keep dangling in front of you. I think this one's gunna be a money grabber for sure. And only 120 hours to get to the top level seems a bit strange. I guarantee you it won't be anything like any past elder scrolls games. It would be cool if it was, but they are using the same engine as the Star Wars MMO, which was a big letdown anyway. This post has been edited by Stew: May 8 2012, 06:20 PM |

Agreed. I just hope this doesnt affect future elder scrolls releases. As someone who hated oblivion years ago and hated it again when I tried it as a Skyrim fanatic, it would be a shame if Bethesda becomes another EA or Infinity Ward money machine just as they're hitting their stride with elder scrolls.
Now that I love learning about all the in-game lore and culture and history and all that geeky shit, I wanna experience places like Blackmarsh, Elswyr, Hammerfell, High rock etc in as much of an enthralling experience as skyrim was. Not as DLC for some stupid fucking WOW ripoff. This post has been edited by YamsX1: May 8 2012, 09:31 PM |

how's the Dragonborn dlc? have to wait till next year as i'm on ps3.
apparently more huge expansions on the way. one includes snow elves and dwemer/dwarves and is supposed to be bigger than Dragonborn. |

Bethesda recently said Dragonborn comes out early next year for PC and Ps3. after that they are back to work on continuing to work out the issues on Dawnguard and Hearthfire.
