In Finland people are probably already feeling the tournament fever. After all, you don’t get home tournament too often (well, I’m not yet over the last one so…). I actually did have a lot of interest to play there, even though I had said a long time ago that my national team career is over. I had actually two options – to play at the tournament and end my career with that or to play one more year for Ducks. Doing both was out of the question – I wouldn’t have been able to do that. Though I don’t know yet about the next season, but now I at least have time to rest and let the body recover from the tough season.

My guess it that we'll definitely get an answer by July 1st this year.

Although I hate him, I love seeing Brian Hayward troll the Kings fans on NBC. I can stand him, but only because of the 18 year strong built up immunity to his assholishness. I once, at the pond, got onto an elevator while he was getting off, and I didn't even start uncontrolably vomiting. Now if it were Jim Fox, that's a whole other matter.

Sorry for going off topic, but noticed Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Ryan O'Reilly and Cam Ward in a night club in Helsinki after their loss to team USA. And Getzlaf almost got into a bar brawl in the wee hours from what I heard lol.

On that note, the World Championships should really be held every two years if not every four years. It's just a crappy tournament where the team that can get the most players from the eliminated teams in the Stanley Cup play-offs will win. I mean come on, after last years WC tournament win, Finland is ranked first in the world by the IIHF. Even Finland didn't have their best players playing last year not to mention every other country in the tournament.
