Eminent domain ftw.

I'm judging by your use of the past tense of "held" that the actual shop is no longer in existence.

If I'm correct, then who the fuck cares? It's just a building.

if they can turn a building of historic value like the forum into a mega-plex movie theatre, than, sorry. your skate shop gets no sympathy from me.

I dont see why they would save the building if the skate shop no longer exists there, whos it a landmark to old ass hippie skate boarders and surfers?I can see saving independence hall and the Alamo cause of the historic value but the place where a skate shop once was.

you try TOO HARD! FUCK! YOU RUIN EVERYTHING!

you make it so hard for people to like you. fucking STOP!

an online petition will not work, because its obvious someone bought the property and buildings on the premisis. their choice of re-development clearly included a mothballed building that will be leveled for further re-development.

the only way to save this building is to not only pay more than what the new developer paid for it, but also seek permits from the city to buy said land, and deal with all pending law suits, which im sure there are several.

after that, you would have to find replacement land for the developer to purchase, and they would have to re-apply for permits and building approvial. (i study this shit) in short, an online petition isnt going to do one damn thing.

To be honest I don't think it's significant enough to save eventhough it might have a rich history.. from the 70s..
I'm sure there will be far more significant buildings that need to be saved that I'll save my e-votes on

Lol. You think they are going to listen to a bunch of teens that don't want some old building torn down? The only way people listen is with money.

Being probably the only person here to have actually seen the building as it is now, I say there is no reason to save it.
