Explosions In The Sky is a great instrumental American post-rock band formed in Austin, Texas in 1999.

the band includes:


Mark Smith (guitar)

so far, the band has released four albums:

EITS Discography:

How Strange, Innocence (2000) [300 copies made, re-issued 11 October 2005]
Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever (2001)
The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place (2003)
The Rescue (2005) [available for free download on the band's website due to demand of fan's who could not find the album]

their music was also used on the soundtrack for the 2004 film, "Friday Night Lights" & a compilation album released by their label "Temporary Residence Limited", the album was titled "The Temporary Residence Ltd. Thank You Compilation".

the next EITS album is expected to be released sometime in February of 2007.

i used to like them alot more, but the last time i listened to them i realized that there really isn't anything special about them.

How Strange, Innocence is still one of my favorite albums though.
