Honest question: Where the fuck are any of you getting your information about how much Chad contributes to the songwriting process? I don't doubt that he's involved to a considerable degree, and that, if nothing else, his guitar leads and production style is a huge part of the "CKY sound," but if you're going to make such specific claims about Chad's involvement, you should at least back it up with some kind of tangible evidence.

Since every post of my mine with the word "Deron" in it will get spread to the masses, I'll just say--thanks for the PM support (some of you) guys, and no I'm not a bad guy, yes I hate this retarded drama and yes I am over it and want it dropped because its just unneeded stress in my life and I've only got two tests standing in the way between me and Miami Spring Break so instead of getting bogged down in this--I'ma chill.

Forgot to mention i saw Corey Taylor yesterday. I mentioned CKY and Corey said he was disappointed Deron wasnt there for Soundwave.

Had a quick chat about how Corey likes Deron as a musician etc and how talent is going to waste if he isnt doing music.

It may not sound "right" but we've been hearing the same vocalist for 15 years so of course its weird, but if I'm going to compare who is carrying the tune of DTS better...It's Daniel, he sounds similar to Deron on this and still being a bit heavy with the delivery, but he's hitting the highs much smoother--I enjoyed this, I think CKY is a band that means so much to so many of us I don't think it'll ever sit right with the Alliance to hear anyone but Deron front the band, but that's no reason to say that Daniel is somehow butchering DTS or not holding his own--the guy is hitting highs very well.

never said he butchered it. just not my thang, don't know why i felt the need to voice. it would be cool to hear chad do more vox. anyhow, carry on

I think he sounded good. Just good.

But, I couldn't watch the videos in their entirety.
I couldn't WATCH the videos. I could listen to them.
Call me old school but like others have said: It's not the same watching CKY perform without Deron.
Also, maybe I didn't like Daniel's mannerisms on stage? Deron always had energy when he performed. CKY live is about energy. You can see Chad and Matt trying and trying to get the energy up but it comes off as forced and akward.

That being said, I'm all for CKY existing sans Deron Miller.
Maybe it will take time for me personally.

I praise Matt, Jess and Chad for getting to Australia and performing for the Aussie fans. It could and probably is because its a new band for DD but I didn't feel after watching that it was CKY it any way, others have sound it was like they were covering the songs and that again is what I thought.
I couldn't get myself to watch any of the videos all the way through. Its like watching your gf get jiggy with a complete stranger (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I don't know, its a weird time for everyone related to CKY and I'm not sure if I prefer the possible new lineup or whether just let CKY be and end gracefully.

The opportunity to "let CKY be and end gracefully" passed loooooong ago.

I understand why some people are having a difficult time adjusting to the possibility of Daniel stepping in and CKY moving on with him. I, for one, am excited for the band in a way I haven't been for some time. Hopefully the strong turnout and largely positive feedback from the Alliance will motivate the band to continue.
