Album Facts

The cover photo was taken during the 1999 Warped Tour.

Most songs were written when the band was known as 'Oil', before Chad joined.

96 Quite Bitter Beings, arugably one of the bands most popular tracks, was penned one afternoon when Deron decided not to go to work.

Rio Bravo was originally titled 'Rio Bravo Truckstop', but a design error on the first pressing had it labeled as 'Rio Bravo'. They decided to keep the new title.

During the breakdown section of My Promiscuous Daughter, the voices in the background are those of Jess and Deron making fun of their old manager and talking about how Ryan Bruni doesn't even know they are making an album.

Shippensburg, a b-side from Volume 2, was originally supposed to play after Sara's Mask, but it was removed, as it didn't fit well with the album.

Originally, during the low hum after To All of You, you can hear Deron and Jess arguing in the studio, and Deron rips up the lyric sheets and throws them in Jess' face. Since the album turned out so well, they didn't think it fit in with it, so it was removed before it was pressed.

The hidden tracks after To All of You are 'Rio Bravo Reprise' and 'Halfway House'.

Album Facts

The man on the cover is Rake Yohn, a member of the CKY/Jackass crew. He also designed the artwork for this compilation.

Volume 2 was released as a soundtrack album to accompany Volume 1 for Bam Margera's first skate video, 'CKY'.

Shippensburg is a b-side from Volume 1. It was originally track nine on the album.

Genesis 12a, Testing, Foreign Objects #10, and Planetary are instrumental versions of Foreign Objects songs on the album 'Universal Culture Shock'.

Genesis 12a, Santa's Coming, Shippensburg, Rio Bravo (Remix), Foreign Objects #10, and Disengage the Simulator (Demo Instrumental) are all on the now out-of-print Disengage the Simulator EP.

Chad wrote and programmed the beats on Fat Fuck.

Originally, during the low hum after To All of You, you can hear Deron and Jess arguing in the studio, and Deron rips up the lyric sheets and throws them in Jess' face. Since the album turned out so well, they didn't think it fit in with it, so it was removed before it was pressed.

The demo of Knee Deep is the only released track that was recorded in Jess' old house's basement (aka the haggard basement).

Infiltrate Destroy Rebuild

Original Release: September 24th, 2002
Release Type: Album
Release Format: CD
Record Label: Island/Def Jam
Status: In Print / Available (Click to buy)

Tracklisting:

1. Escape from Hellview 6. Shock & Terror
2. Flesh Into Gear 7. Plastic Plan
3. Sink into the Underground 8. Inhuman Creation Station
4. Attached at the Hip 9. Sporadic Movement
5. Frenetic Amnesic 10. Close Yet Far

Album Facts

The album was recorded and mixed between November 2001 and February 2002.

This is CKY's only album that was also made into a video DVD. The IDR DVD contained a music video for each song, plus the videos for 96 Quite Bitter Beings and Disengage the Simulator, as well as "Chopped and Sliced" - 3 hours of show footage from over the years.

Recording for the album took place at studios in Honolulu, HI, Philadelphia, PA, and Santa Monica, CA, where it was also mixed.

The album is enhanced for the computer with music videos for Flesh Into Gear & Attached At the Hip, a photo gallery, and web links.

Escape From Hellview is the third part of the Hellview-themed song series. The first part is "Thanks For the Ride" from Oil, and the second part is "96 Quite Bitter Beings" off of Volume 1.

Flesh Into Gear was originally titled "Sinking Fast".

Demo versions of Flesh Into Gear, Sink Into the Underground, Attached At the Hip, Plastic Plan, Inhuman Creation Station, and Sporadic Movement are featured in the skate movies CKY2K and CKY 3.

Plastic Plan's main riff was written by Deron over 10 years before it was released.

Plastic Plan was originally titled "No Such Thing".

Close Yet Far was originally titled "Fairman's Song", and appears on the first pressing of Volume 2.

The four drum-stick hits after Close Yet Far are there as a teaser for another song that was never finished for the album.

The song "Dropped and Doublecrossed" was recorded for this album, but it was never finished. It is a re-worked version of "Dropped", an Oil song that appears on the double-disc re-release of Volume 2.

The original print of the album has a black tray-back to it. It also had a glitch with the Enhanced CD portion (videos would not play). When Island/Def Jam fixed the videos, they marked this new batch with a new, gold tray-back.

3. Dressed in Decay 8. Deceit is Striking Gold
4. Familiar Realm 9. As the Tables Turn
5. All Power to Slaves 10. Sniped
11. Don't Hold Your Breath

Album Facts

The album artwork was done as a tribute to CKY's ultra loyal fanbase, the Alliance. The giant "A" on the front cover is the symbol of the fans.

The original title of this album was "The Butchers Hand". Later, the band announced that the title was now "An Answer Can Be Found". Both titles can be found in the lyrics to the tracks "As the Tables Turn" and "Suddenly Tragic".

The track "Behind the Screams" originally appeared as extra footage in "Haggard", a movie directed by Bam Margera. After massive fan requests for this to be recorded for an album, it was revealed that it was going to appear on An Answer Can Be Found. This is only the second song that has been done for, the first one was "Close Yet Far" (Fairman's Song).

"All Power to Slaves" was originally the opening track for the album.

"Don't Hold Your Breath" is a track that goes back to the Volume 1 days. It never really fit anywhere until this album was made, and the band thought it would make a good closer. It was finished for this album.

"Behind the Screams" is actually a play on words. The hidden joke is that it was behind the scenes on the Haggard dvd, so it was named "Behind the Screams". It was also named that because the track appeared after "Tripled Manic State" - which has a long scream at the end.

"Tripled Manic State" is a continuation of the story from "Inhuman Creation Station" on the previous album. The first involves a factory that makes humans, while "Tripled Manic State" is about experimenting on humans and a anger-reducing surgery gone wrong.

During the making of this album, the bands first live bassist Vern Zaborowski, was fired. In the summer of 2005, the band announced that Matt Deis was their new bass player, formerly of All That Remains. Matt Deis was a huge fan since Volume 1.
