Question:
I finally read that FFU tour blog that Glenn posted. We are all concerned about your brother, but that guy sounds like a whiny bitch who could barely get laid while on tour. It's got to be hell, but keeping everyone together and on task did not sound like his strong suit- and that's after hearing him explain shit in his own words! And now he's playing TMZ and making money by asking for donations to talk about personal shit that happens. I bet he's never getting a gig again. And it wasn't like he was some innocent "babe in the woods" either. He's been on tour What a dumbass...

asked by Steave on 05/16/2013

Answer:
bam is definitely a lot of work on tour, there is no doubt about it, but wow... that guy is a tremendous faggot

answered by Jess on 05/17/2013

Question:
Hey! How are you guys doing? (:

asked by Helsinki69 on 04/16/2013

Answer:
who wants to buy my old house? completely soundproofed studio in the basement (as in, i recorded an entire viking skull album at full volume while my kids were sleeping upstairs type soundproofing) and it also "boasts" (my realtor told me to use that word) a custom bar built by slug sluggaro himself and upstairs interior decorating done by the lovely, lovely gold and arrow design team. you know you want it. http://www.trulia.com/property/3113805544-255-Weatherhill-Dr-West-Chester-PA-19382#photo-1

whatever became of footage from An Answer Can Be Found in-studio?? I remember there being talks of a DVD like IDR. I recall at the K.O.P signing for A.A.C.B.F back in 08 you guys had video playing on the big screen I was just curious whatever became of it.

asked by mattydeee on 05/10/2013

Answer:
all of our video projects have been nightmares. we spent 60,000 dollars recording and filming the first hellview concert and its been impossible to finish. me and chad have been trying to get ahold of the director since last year to release a bluray this halloween but the guy will not call us back.

answered by Jess on 05/11/2013

Question:
you could probably get Kyuss Lives for Hellview VI. that would be awesome

asked by Mushmouth Matt on 08/10/2011

Answer:
if the day ever comes where there is a hellview 6 i would love for that to happen. i am a huge fan of not only kyuss but all the bands spawned from kyuss. unida, slo burn, qotsa & che are all some of my most favorite and most frequently played vinyl at my house.

answered by Jess on 05/09/2013

Question:
Can't wait to hear recordings of till the wheels fall off, we are the real rock and roll underground, and moonshine. It's cool how your writing songs based on experiences that you come across. Let Europe and Iceland provide for more material. Keep it up!!!!!!

answered by Jess on 05/09/2013

Question:
jess, have you spoke with ville valo lately? I heard he was seriously ill and cancelled all press and their tour. no promotion of the new album I guess.. I was a bit worried about him, is he ok?

asked by someloser on 05/09/2013

Answer:
no i haven't seen him since we filmed the christmas movie a few years ago, i hope he's doing okay and im looking forward to hanging with him at the qstock festival coming up.

answered by Jess on 05/09/2013

Question:
Jess, is Bam stoked on "Tears on Tape," H.I.M.'s new record, or does he not give a shit about rock anymore? When their last album came out, he gave it almost no support on his radio show. I don't think he's played anything from the Rasmus' last two albums. Cradle of Filth's last few records got the shaft, too. It's all rap now.

asked by Hours_Awake on 05/04/2013

Answer:
yeah he listens to a lot of rap but he plays ghost and clutch almost non-stop. the entire FFU tour was clutch the entire time on the bus 24/7. it was almost too much for ME. hes thinking about getting "i need a gallon of neil fallon" tattooed on his neck. i have truly created a monster.

answered by Jess on 05/06/2013

Question:
Did you ever have the opportunity to meet Chi Cheng, Jess?

asked by -Atom- on 04/14/2013

Answer:
i stole a golf cart and a case of beer with him at the shoreline ampitheatre and crashed it into a fence while blasting clutch "jam room" - the clutch CD and about 15 bottles of beer broke in the crash, so we took the remaining bottles, went to the deftones bus and then chino broke out his copy of jam room so the rocking could commence. good times good times

answered by Jess on 05/01/2013

Question:
Hey Jess, remember you wrote about that time in Stockholm when you witnessed a knife fight at a bar? Would you fancy reliving that minus the bar fight when you play Klubben again in July? As in, let's grab an after-show beer

asked by iaiao on 04/15/2013

Answer:
count me in bub. i live in philadelphia so swedish and/or european crime is almost funny to me. european crime is like "2 blokes got rowdy after a soccer game and someone got stabbed" the philly news report is like "someone used an infant as a human shield, 2 policemen were killed by a guy with a hacksaw and an elephant gun, a bus full of old ladies going to the casino flipped over and fell into the delaware river after it got carjacked by 6 crackheads and the phillies lost again"

answered by Jess on 04/18/2013

Question:
I take it your brother isn't touring in N korea any time soon..

asked by tom on 04/04/2013

Answer:
i hope that little piece of shit running their country knows he is going to get everyone there blown off the face of the earth just because of his own stupidity. threatening us is like woody allen challenging "the rock" to a fight

answered by Jess on 04/10/2013

Question:
Hey Jess will you be pounding the skins on the FFU uk tour ? Andy

asked by Andy96cky on 04/06/2013

Question:
What is the worst you have been personally screwed over financially? For me it was when my brother stole the money in my piggy bank when I was 5 to buy his friend "medicine".

asked by Steave on 04/09/2013

Answer:
each member of CKY was to make over 200,000 dollars each (each!) on the 2008 european festival circuit but that didn't happen due to our really lame "tour bus fight". i mean, its not about money for me - i really enjoy doing music, but jesus fucking christ, right?

answered by Jess on 04/10/2013

Question:
From Jerry Cantrell. Nice to know that there still are a few mainstream acts who keep it real. "Absolutely. I hear guys say, "I don't get scared onstage" or "I'm totally at ease up there. It's totally cool and I'm dialed." I'm not. It's still exciting and terrifying and it's all of that sh-t and that's what makes it good. Like, "Ahhh," it's a killer and that's the exciting part of it is the potential train wreck that can blow up or fall apart at any moment. Some of the sh-t we play is difficult to pull of (laughs). You're playing one rhythm and singing against another thing and we got two guys doing that so we got multiple moving parts and they all have to mesh. It's tough and it's a tightrope walk for sure with no net. We don't got any f--kin' AutoTune or tracks or sh-t - it's us. It's live so it gets weird once in a while and it's always interesting to see how you get it back. Every once in a while you have a complete train wreck and most of the time you can reel it in (laughs). But it's supposed to be f--kin' live and it's not supposed to be perfect. Since when did it become OK where you actually expect people to pay so you can fake their sh-t to ya? "Well, I want it to sound good so I don't really mind payin' somebody to lip sync and dance around in front of me." That's bullsh-t. If you can't play your f--kin' sh-t you shouldn't be on a goddamned stage (laughs)."

asked by Matt on 04/05/2013

Answer:
yep, there are still some real mofos out there. they are hard to find anymore but they are there and they are going away fast

Question:
Really liking the ffu turbonegro cover. Bam's vocals kinda remind me of vikings skulls vocals. Good stuff

asked by IllKickThatEmoKid'sAss on 01/20/2013

Answer:
i heard a rumor of turbo and valient thorr opening for FFU on a west coast tour and possibly viking skull opening a FFU UK tour. dont hold me to it, like i said its just a rumor. im just a drummer, what the hell do i know. i mean really

Question:
Jess, I know you don't like an answer can be found and Carver city but do you like afterworld?

asked by Craigory on 12/12/2012

Answer:
i like all the cky albums, AACBF and b-sides included. i personally prefer the first 2 records because it was before substance abuse ruined the band, when there were stronger songs and less flash - but AACBF and CC are still good records that will stand the test of time in my opinion, even if it was a living hell being part of the recording process. i had to bail after my drum tracks were completed just for my own sanity.

answered by Jess on 03/31/2013

Question:
Any news on your work with Daniel Davies? He seemed like a really cool guy at Soundwave.

asked by Cadbury on 03/03/2013

Answer:
dude is so underrated it pisses me off, i mean all the big time motherfuckers like lemmy and grohl, slash and the cult dudes are all big fans and asked him to tour but it seems like year long disaster and/or his solo stuff never caught on very much. which is a fucking crime in my opinion. i recorded a whole new solo album with him last year and the line-up was great, ben from soundgarden and kones from tenacious D was on it too but i dont know if it is ever getting released. me, chad and matty j wrote about 5 or 6 awesome songs at my house a little while ago, will it be called CKY? i dont know, i dont really care what it is called to be honest. i feel like the CKY name can sit around for a little bit, recharge the batteries. 15 years is a pretty long time. also, people want what they can't have - and right now they can't have CKY and if that renews interest in the band, great! and if not, great. i dont care. there is too much going on right now for me to rush and figure out the status of CKY. after years of turmoil, destroyed tour buses and hotel rooms, pissed off promoters and many, many, many burned bridges, this is a well deserved break.

answered by Jess on 03/20/2013

asked by TLace on 02/25/2013

Answer:
you are going to be waiting a while there buddy. the drummer got all fucked up on his motorcycle and the singer says that there has been little or no material written at all. haha, you got to appreciate dudes like that. "uh, tool guys...you haven't put out an album since 2006 - any progress on new stuff?" uh, no not really. those guys are workaholics!

answered by Jess on 02/27/2013

Question:
Jess, are there any songs you guys did that never made it out that you wish would have?

asked by SteveMcQueen on 02/26/2013

Answer:
i wish the first hellview concert came out on blu-ray. thats the biggest thing that im upset over that never happened. i tried calling the director a million times this year (trying to do a 10 years later kind of thing) but he never called or emailed me back. boo!

answered by Jess on 02/27/2013

Question:
jess... what's next?

asked by marcos a vaca on 02/23/2013

Answer:
i feel like people are just now starting to realize that there is a B-Sides & Rarities album out. people started to check out Carver City around 2011ish, now people are starting to scope out the B-Sides record now. so if we step on it and release and album this year, people will start to give it a spin around 2015. we should just release an album and then tour it 2 years later. haha!

answered by Jess on 02/27/2013

Question:
WE WANT CHAD!!!!!! pull his strings Jess.

asked by sigsworth on 02/21/2013

Answer:
i know, im bumming too. he just mastered the new viking skull live album for me at studio CIG and it sounds awesome. but im sure if i begged him to go to canada he would tell me, to fuck me. or he might tell me to bend my dick around to the back of my ass and go fuck myself. either way i dont handle rejection very well so i will just shut up about it.

asked by mfio1 on 02/24/2013

answered by Jess on 02/24/2013

Question:
Hey Jess, what do you think of folk music? Seems like an odd question but I grew up around rock and jazz music and I have really gotten into old Bob Dylan, Don McLean, Woodie Guthry, Steve Goodman, Johnny Cash...Even new guys like City and Colour. Its almost feels like its educational to see how it evolved into rock music.

asked by john on 07/21/2012

Answer:
I like all kinds of music. I think its kind of ignorant to completely dismiss an entire music style. every genre has its obvious pioneers and fire starters and then of course there are a million posers waiting to catch the next trend and stink up the place with mediocrity.

answered by Jess on 02/23/2013

Question:

Question:
Interesting article I found, although you've been telling us the truth for years http://www.cracked.com/article_20256_5-things-record-labels-dont-want-you-to-know-they-do.html

asked by fuCKYou59 on 02/19/2013

Answer:
I think it's pretty unbelievable that there are still people that actually try to argue with me when I talk about this shit. And i tried to explain that 30 seconds to mars sold 2 million albums and is still in debt over a million dollars to their label and this one girl (obviously a 30 seconds to mars fan) said that I was bitter and just jealous that my band isn't as popular as them. Hahaha!

answered by Jess on 02/19/2013

Question:
Don't know if you know, there are a few strange 'thanks to' in the credits at the end of haggard, including blink 182?

asked by SteeG on 02/15/2013

blink 182 apparently gave some money to pay for the film. that movie was shot on film, which for a full length movie could be anywhere between 250000 to 400000 dollars.
