Question:
Micheal Jackson.......CKYs thoughts?
asked by Man In The Mirror on 06/25/2009
Answer:
when we heard today it shocked us all. i am fuckin totally depressed about this. michael jackson has always been a huge inspiration to everything musical Ive done. my first concert was Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 victory tour September 2nd 1984 in Philly at JFK stadium . the first time we went..it stormed and mj canceled minutes before the show..i was pretty much crying..like a little girl that the show was canceled. it was rescheduled and it was to this day thee best concert experience ive ever had. it changed my life..as did his music. i even had one of those jackets from the beat it video.. im not the least bit ashamed to admit it. real legend. major inspiration. we will be drinkin alot in honor of mj tonight..and jammin his music. see ya at the gigs. bring me a Michael jackson shirt!

Question:
Hey guys fantastic album, when are you going to be in the UK?
asked by Paul on 06/10/2009
Answer:
well i just got the ticket sheet yesterday and it says there are less than 100 tickets left for the Colchester and London shows. so if you are planning on going and dont have a ticket yet, move your ass. Also for all you canooks, there are only 50 tickets left for the Kelowna, BC show - and in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver there are only around 100-150 tickets left. so dont fuck around much longer because i really, really hate seeing people stuck outside and cant get in.

i hate it when celebrities bitch and moan and complain about being famous. dont you?
asked by stacy on 06/09/2009

answered by Jess on 06/10/2009
Question:
jess you rag on warped and ozzfest and the variations of those and call them fuity and crap, so what shows and festivals do you suggest thento those of us who agree or are interested in seeing something new and or more exciting
asked by yeah on 06/09/2009
Answer:
with most american festivals, i dont like the lack of variation. its almost like your band cant play warped these days unless you are wearing girls jeans. in europe they will have a line-up thats more like say.. mastodon, zz top, iron maiden, gnarls barkley and faith no more. that shit is fucking interesting. there is nothing interesting about 10 dumb ass clone bands all playing the same dumb ass place together.
answered by Jess on 06/10/2009
Question:
Jess, I thought this would be a good question. When it's comes to drum parts, do you do what you feel sounds and fits good or is their a certain sound that is wanted?
asked by Joey on 06/08/2009
Answer:
for cky, the only way to do it is to try and mesh with the riff as best as possible and hope theres enough room somewhere to bust a cool fill or something. the guitar parts is definitely the main focus of this band.
answered by Jess on 06/09/2009
Question:
What kind of software do you guys use to record demos? (That is if its not all professionally done in a studio)

asked by DownOnHisLuckMusician on 06/09/2009
Answer:
i would say about 95% of cky demos are cut on either my korg 16 track or derons tascam 4 track

Jess, whatcha think of the new Clutch album "Strange Cousins From The West"? You just can't ever go wrong with them can you.
asked by Abraham Lincoln on 06/09/2009

the fact that clutch is not as popular as say, nickelback or something - is cold, hard, solid proof that average everyday people are fucking morons when it comes to music. makes me sad.

Question:
Do You Think Death Magnetic Is A Good Album?
asked by Greggg on 06/07/2009
Answer:
do you?
answered by Deron on 06/08/2009
Question:
deron how long did it take you to write roller rager? was it a pretty fast process or did you work on it for a long time? that song is amazing man.
asked by chris karmaworks on 06/08/2009
Answer:
all the parts came quickly after that feel good chorus riff. i love that riff because it speaks to me. it had a lot to do with the vibe we centered the album around. when i get excited about an idea at home on the 4 track i work on it for hours and hours to see what comes of it.
answered by Deron on 06/08/2009
Question:
How do you fucking do that ? Carver City gets better every time I listen to it !
That's really rare
asked by Pyrodioxide on 06/07/2009
Answer:
its not a first listen record. you have to familiarize yourself with it so that when you do get it you can keep listening to it. simple rock records are good for 2 spins and then you sell them on amazon for $.01 plus S&H.
answered by Deron on 06/08/2009

saw some of a new killswitch engage video on tv the other night and was surprised to see Adam Dutkiewicz rocking a Parker. Now i google this mofucka and see that I can buy his signature model Fly and think to myself "why the FUCK can't I buy a Deron Miller sig model?" So in hopes of finding an answer I am emailing Parker right now and telling them (the nice way) to get their heads out of their asses and fetch me a goddamn Deron Miller git-box!!!!

we are doing Carver City Parkers. killswitch is a bigger band than us right now. its a business. hopefully the CC parker will be available to you guys but writing in will always help.

Saw the CC ad play over 9000 (over-exaggerating) times today on MTV2 (Canada).. good to see that Roadrunner actually promotes bands.

the promotion from Roadrunner in canada has been great because we're coming there. they have plans for us in the states when we start the 2nd leg of the tour as well. should be great.

no, i dont hate it. i think its funny and kind of interesting. because let's face it, there's nothing more boring than a "band" these days. apparently all it takes to be in a band anymore is a myspace page, some guyliner and a gift card to guitar center.

Hey guys, i've read the reviews Carver City has been getting and i have to say, all good man! Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, not a bad word spoken! And I have to say i agree, it's an amazing album dudes, thank you :)
asked by Gavin Griffiths on 06/03/2009
Answer:
yes i'm shocked the reviews have all been good; i know we deserve them, but some mags tend to criticize us unjustly for non-music related issues they have with us. we're happy to see some fair reviews finally! Alt press and revolver are great ones as well. those guys have always been kind to us. this record is getting the best reviews of our career, but the most important thing is what you guys think and so far its been like 99.93% positive. really cool.
